Advisory Analyst
As an advisor you will work for tech companies on the financial and strategic aspects of their projects, collaborating with knowledgeable students and sharpening your abilities in your field of choice, whether that is valuation (investment banking), strategy (consulting), tech (engineering) or sales.
How we work in the Advisory desk:
Dynamic environment offering chances to get more responsibilities and closer to the clients;
We prioritize academic/personal goals, yet our members organize their schedules to ensure our obligations to the clients are satisfied.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Determination and availability to understand new concepts and grow professionally.
Creativity and awareness of the fact that working is not about using formulas, but finding solutions to problems that won't always be found on the internet or a book.
Enrolled in Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in business, management, finance or engineering;
Minimum English requirement: Cambridge B1 level or above;
Interest and knowledge in the fields of either investment banking, consulting, venture capital;
Basic knowledge of Excel, Canva, PowerPoint.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Corporate finance and strategy courses / proven knowledge.
Your task will include:
Valuation Analyst: financial modelling, industry research, construction of reports;

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program at the University of Bologna.

Deep interest in AI and LegalTech with a desire to explore and implement innovative legal applications for AI.
Previous coursework or experience in AI, law, or technology-related fields is advantageous.
Familiarity with Notion, Canva, MS Office, and Google Docs is preferred.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Basic or advanced programming skills are a plus.
Experience with developing AI-based tools or applications is considered an advantage.
Your tasks will include:
Conduct in-depth analysis of AI regulations, data privacy studies, and legal implications of emerging technologies, including machine learning models and neural networks.
Use data analysis tools to monitor technological and legal trends, collaborating in the design and development of AI-based tools for legal applications.
Create and design reports and technical documents on emerging AI and legal trends while working with companies to implement AI solutions and test new technologies.
Present findings at public events and internal meetings, honing public speaking and critical thinking skills.
Venture Capital Analyst
As a VC associate you will become part of a group of students whose goal is to collaborate in order to produce valuable contents regarding this specific field of interest. You will get to know other colleagues who share your same likings, exchange opinions and motivate one another.
How we work in the VC desk:

Workload is shared to allow everyone to keep working on personal and academical goals;
Asynchronous communication;
Meet ups or calls to keep everyone updated;
Frequent use of the WhatsApp group.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Looking for students currently enrolled in either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at Unibo;
Minimum English requirement: Cambridge B2 level or IELTS 7 or above;
Proven knowledge in Corporate Finance, either with university courses or working experiences;
Good writing and communication skills;
Ambition to contribute in the association and collaborate with the rest of the team;
Basic knowledge of Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Ability to discount cash flows and work with regression models;
Past working experience or proven knowledge in consulting.
Your task will include:
Conduct monthly or biweekly market analyses, tracking key trends, news, and developments in the Venture Capital & Private Equity sectors.
Prepare monthly case studies on private firms or startups, including detailed assessments of business plans, market potential, risks, challenges, financial performance, and growth prospects.
Write in-depth articles on selected topics, providing valuable insights for the audience and contributing to the UFS internship and scholarship database.
Collaboration with other desks to organize and support future events.
DeFi Analyst
As a DeFi Associate, you’ll be able to join a tight-knit team that works daily on improving both the association as whole and our industry knowledge. Depending on your prior experience, we’ll train you accordingly and let you pick our brains at anytime to ensure the fastest learning curve possible.
How we work in the DeFi Desk:
Fast-paced collaborative enviroment, where the workload is shared considering individual academic and personal commitments;
Asynchronous communication when possible, we all hate boring meetings;
We’re not trying to replicate a corporate working environment, or at the very least, not picking the negatives they have;
Frequent in-person meet-ups depending on the period to foster a sense of community within the DeFi desk, and the whole association.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at University of Bologna;
Great writing and communication skills in both English and Italian;
Ambition, drive, and eagerness to impact the association with your uniqueness. We strongly believe in individuals potential, and you are no exception;
Natural curiosity in distributed ledger technologies.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Prior experience in DeFi, i.e. being able to research and interact with decentralized financial primitives;
Proficiency with Notion, Canva, MS Office, and Google Docs tools.
Your tasks will include:
Conducting research on protocols, narratives, and macroeconomic events that directly or indirectly impact the DeFi landscape.
Contributing to drafting and designing sections of the monthly Market Pulse, summarizing key DeFi developments.
Writing for our newsletter, honing your English writing skills while providing valuable insights.
Participating in public presentations at events, sharing in-depth research findings (e.g., FTX case study).
Investment Banking Analyst
As a member of the Investment Banking and M&A desk you will participate in the creation and drafting process of desk-related content, such as market analysis, equity research, preparation of industry reports, technical analysis and trading summaries, etc., whilst working shoulder to shoulder with fellow finance enthusiasts and building up work/industry-related specific skills.
How we work in the IB desk:
Collaborative and engaging environment where the work load is shared according to abilities of each member, thus giving you the possibility to either excel in your field of competence, or dynamically learn as time goes by, since UFS is first of all a hub to develop your skills;
Long and boring meetings are not our cup of tea, hence we like to keep communication as slim as possible, favouring the use of WhatsApp group, and fast paced Google Meet calls to discuss important matters on the fly;
We value in-person meets to foster the sense of community on which UFS was created, hence don’t be shy.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Smart, driven and ambitious students enrolled in either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the University of Bologna;
Proven knowledge in the field of Business, Economics and Finance, both in terms of current university degree and courses (e.g., CLABE, CLEF, EMI, CLEA, etc.,);
Fluency in the English language (writing and verbal proficiency are deemed optimal due to the international character of the association), at least B2 level / 7.0 IELTS;
Skilful use of Excel (and in general Office suite), Canva and Notion. Latex and PPT skills are highly appreciated;
Will to work as a team and contribute actively to the desk’s activities.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Working experience in relevant field in terms of internship or junior positions, is appreciated and will be positively valued.
Your tasks will include:
Contribute to the drafting process of market pulses, as the ones shown on our LinkedIn page (bi-monthly frequency), presenting the key facts and events occurring in the IB – M&A world;
Case studies of crucial events, such as mergers, acquisitions, issuance of bonds, IPOs, SEOs, and defaults/bankruptcies;
Technical Analysis on indexes/stocks and Equity research;
Contribution to UFS internship / scholarship database aimed at providing material useful to prepare interviews;
Participate actively to our events (through presentations and panel discussions). Once selected you’ll be assigned, based on both your preferences and attitudes, to specific tasks, thus rendering the workload adequate and sustainable in order not to neglect your university career.
Marketing Analyst
As a Marketing Associate, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing our organization's internal and external communication strategies.
How we work in the Marketing desk:

Communication is frequent and primarily through digital channels like messaging apps;
The organization has a small team, which means that you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the organization's success.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the University of Bologna;
Great writing and communication skills in both English and Italian;
Ambition, drive, and eagerness to impact the association with your uniqueness. We strongly believe in individuals' potential, and you are no exception;
Natural curiosity in distributed ledger technologies;
Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Basic knowledge of Photoshop;
Proficiency in Notion;
Past working experience.
Your tasks will include:
Developing and implementing communication strategies that effectively promote the organization's mission, events, and initiatives;
Creating and designing high-quality graphics for social media content, events, and other materials:
Coordinating with other team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels:
Collaborating with external vendors and partners to maximize exposure and reach.
Events & Relations Analyst
As an Events and Relations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing relationships with the University, its professors, and potential sponsors while also overseeing the organization and management of events. You will be responsible for fostering collaborations, ensuring compliance, and executing successful events.

Your tasks will include:
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with University requirements.
Scouting for new companies and potential sponsors, negotiating terms, and scheduling events at national and international levels.
Staying updated on new opportunities for the club and fostering collaborations with firms, professors, and alumni.
Administering all phases of event planning and management, including sales, planning, marketing, and logistics.
Ensuring all event planning aligns with strategic goals and contributes to successful outcomes.
Developing strategies to manage risks and ensure smooth event operations.
Financing and Legal Analyst
As a Financial associate you will become part of a team whose duty is to manage the association’s finances and raise funds as well as contribute to UFS growth as a whole. You will work in tandem with your collaborators, with whom you will exchange ideas, opinions and motivate one another.
How we work in the F&L Desk:
Shared workload, in order to not take too much time away from each individual’s personal/academic sphere;
Communications and updates through text only, it’s faster and easier (there could be exceptions);
Periodic IRL team-building meetings;
We are friends before colleagues, our aim is to create a friendly and social environment.
You bring with you:
Looking for UniBo students who are willing to spend a few hours weekly working and contributing to UFS;
Good communications skills in English and/or Italian
Driven and ambitious in achieving his/her goals and bring value for the association;
Knowledge in Economics, Finance and Fund Raising.
Great team worker
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Prior experience in this field.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.
Your tasks will include:
Raise and manage capital for UFS.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team and Event Lead to organize profitable events or any other kind of initiative.
Work with your team on the annual financial report or any other kind of presentation.
HR Analyst
As an HR Associate, you’ll be active in managing and programming the workforce needed to keep UFS functioning and to grant continuity over time for the association.
How we work in the HR desk:
Workload is shared to allow everyone to keep working on personal and academic goals;
Small team, collective decision making;
Frequent use of the WhatsApp group.
You bring with you (Requirements):
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the University of Bologna;
Great writing and communication skills in both English and Italian;
Ambition, drive, and eagerness to impact the association with your uniqueness. We strongly believe in individuals’ potential, and you are no exception;
Natural curiosity in Human Resources management.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Prior experience in HR;
Proficiency with Notion, Canva, MS Office, and Google Docs tools.
Your tasks will include:
Staying informed about the Desk’s projects to assess the workload of each team member.
Organizing and managing the recruitment process, including screening CVs, interviewing candidates, and selecting the best fit to help grow UFS.
Keeping up to date on good practices for HR.
Working closely with the relations team to secure internship opportunities for UFS members.
